Service agreement and terms of service

Retro red arcade machine with pixel heart on screen.

Quick Summary

 Here’s a quick, plain-language overview of how I work:

  • Rates: $50 service call + $100/hour for labor. Parts are billed separately.
  • Short Visits: If it’s a quick fix (under ~30 minutes), it’s just the $50 service call. If it runs longer, that $50 rolls into the first hour of labor.
  • Travel: Jobs more than about an hour away include a $50 travel fee.
  • How Repairs Work: These machines are often 30–50+ years old, so everything is done on a best-effort basis. I’ll track down issues and fix what I can, but they can be unpredictable.
  • Not Everything Is Fixable in One Visit: Some problems take multiple visits, and occasionally parts just aren’t available anymore.
  • Billing: Time spent diagnosing and working on the machine is billable, even if the issue ends up being more complex than expected.
  • Warranty: I stand by my work: labor is covered for 60 days on the specific repair performed (details below).
  • Things Can Cascade: Fixing one issue can sometimes reveal others. If that happens, I’ll walk you through it.

If you have any questions at all, feel free to ask. Full details are below.
